Why Mew?

As TheMewView began to grow and expand, I began to receive many questions on why I do what I do. To be honest, I never thought that I'd love creating website content as much as I have. TheMewView began as an assignment in my Gifted World Literature class. My teacher, who I must say is amazing, required us to have a wikispace with projects over literary works. Although my website began as this, things took an unexpected turn when I discovered the complete waste of time Engineering class was. In my school, the teacher seems unqualified because they mostly sit at their desk all day while the students control the class. At first, this was extremely irritating for me, as I aspired to be an engineer. I cannot recall when I had the realization to use this to my advantage, but when I did, TheMewView took off! While limiting on features, Wikispaces provided an ideal platform for a new website creator such as me. With the help of http://gettingtrickywithwikis.wikispaces.com/, I was able to add cool features to my site, making it stand out among my peers. Pretty early on in the process, I began to add "unnecessary" content to TheMewView that I did not think would last. Despite my thoughts, the content began to spread! Soon, the non-educational content outnumbered the educational! Do I think my teacher ever truly looked at this content? Not really, but that wasn't the point of making it. The content allowed me to escape the chaotic environment of Engineering. Fun Fact: The majority of this site was built in this class... including this blog page!
